Elementary School

Kindergarten Teacher

Role Description

We are seeking a full-time Kindergarten Teacher to join our team at St. Andrew School located in Helena, MT. The Kindergarten Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing lesson plans, managing the classroom, assessing and evaluating student progress, and fostering a positive learning environment. This is an on-site role that requires presence at the school. We use a classical Catholic curriculum.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • Montana State Teaching Credential (optional)
  • Experience working with kindergarten-aged children
  • Knowledge of child development theories and practices
  • Ability to create an inclusive and safe learning environment for all students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Willingness to collaborate with other teachers and administrators to enhance student learning
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
  • Experience with technology integration in the classroom is a plus
  • Faith filled and willing to discuss Christian/Catholic values, virtues and moral purview.

 

4th Grade Teacher

Role Description

This is a full-time job opportunity for a 4th Grade teacher position at St. Andrew School located in Helena, MT. 4th Grade Teachers will be responsible for conducting classes and preparing materials for instruction, assessing and evaluating student progress, and maintaining communication with parents and fellow staff members. This is an on-site role. We teach a classical Catholic curriculum.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field
State certification or licensure in Elementary Education
Excellent communication skills
Experience teaching students in a range of socio-economic backgrounds and academic abilities
Familiarity with differentiated instruction and incorporating technology into the classroom
Desire to contribute positively to a school community and collaborate with fellow educators
Dedication to ongoing professional development and growth as a teacher
Experience working with diverse student populations is a plus
Passionate about fostering a love of learning and helping students reach their full potential
Faith filled and willing to discuss Christian/Catholic values, virtues and moral purview.

Substitute Teacher 

Our teachers have lesson plans and everything you need to assist in their classrooms. What IS required is for you to be VIRTUS trained – this can be done online too!  We are currently in need of PreK – 5th Grade subs, paid at $15 an hour

Middle School and High School

English Teacher

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Helena, MT for an English Teacher at St. Andrew School, a classical Catholic community. The teacher will be responsible for instructing students and creating lesson plans to help develop the students’ reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. They may also be responsible for curriculum development and meeting with parents, as well as participating in faculty meetings and professional development activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English or
  • Education or a related field
  • Teaching certification or licensure (if applicable)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other educators, parents, and students
  • Knowledge of teaching best practices and innovative teaching techniques
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to multi-task and communicate effectively with students, parents, staff and administrators
  • Experience working with students in a classroom environment is preferred but not required
